Hallmark Part-Time Territory Assistant Job in Mobile 36604, Alabama US

As a Territory Assistant (TA) calling on our National Accounts, you will typically work in a territory with 12-30 stores. You will be responsible for making regular store calls and maintaining a calendar. Typical work hours and days vary based on the number of stores assigned and dependent upon the retailer need. The TA serves as the main store contact and is responsible for training Retail Merchandisers (RMs) to service accounts for all assigned stores.

You will be responsible for directing the retail execution of all RM service, department maintenance, and inventory activities for stores in your assigned territory. The TA is responsible for ensuring that the RM works efficiently according to Hallmark's Best Methods procedures. The TA is also responsible for issuing credits for products or programs as directed and making sure floor plans of Hallmark departments are up to date and correct for all assigned accounts. Other duties include supervision and hands-on involvement in completing minor or major (full department) installations as requested.

A typical day requires you to meet with RMs for ongoing training and coaching where necessary, talking with store management, resolving issues as they arise and communicating with your manager, the Territory Representative.

The TA manages all activities within budget guidelines for service, travel, installations, and administrative work. Each employee is required to comply with all Hallmark policies, including accurately reporting all time worked. You will be required to access information and direction through Hallmark's on-line intranet program; therefore you will need home access to the Internet and email. Each TA is issued a Hallmark handheld computer called an INFOlink that is used for time reporting as well as a store level communication device. Reporting is required at the end of each of service day.

Upon arriving home, you must transmit the information captured on your INFOLink to report your time worked and the activities you completed on your service call. There are 2 options for the transmission of the data. You will place your INFOLink unit into a cradle that will be provided to you. The cradle must then be connected either to a phone jack that carries analog phone service or a high-speed internet router connection. Analog phone service is basic telephone service provided by the local telephone company. The transmission cannot be completed through cellular service or through digital service. If you have phone service through an internet provider such as Time Warner, Comcast or Cox, you most likely do not have analog service. You must have one of these two options in your home in order to complete the transmission.

As a Territory Assistant, your territory will include approximately 15 Walgreen stores with a central location of Mobile, AL.  Besides Mobile, your territory will also include Walgreen stores in the following cities:  Grand Bay, Saraland, Spanish Fort, Prichard, Daphne and Fairhope.  The service day schedule is flexible, Monday - Friday as you will determine your schedule based upon the needs of your accounts.  While hours are not guaranteed, you will typically average 6 - 10 hours per week.
