HAMR Electrical Test Integration Engineer Job in Minneapolis 55401, Minnesota US
Seagate is seeking a HAMR (Heat
Assisted Magnetic Recording) Electrical Test Integration engineer at the
RD facility in Bloomington, MN.
In this position, you will be
responsible for spinstand testing of cutting edge HAMR technology from initial
transfer to Thailand manufacturing to providing consistent and high quality
design feedback. Reporting to a Sr. Manager in the Recording Head Design
organization, the position’s primary responsibilities include:

Define
and manage HAMR spinstand test suite, test setup, specifications and UPH -
Work
with cross-functional groups to integrate new spinstand electrical test
solutions for HAMR technology for successful test metrology confirmation
and application -
Qualify
and implement new software, firmware, hardware in manufacturing -
Define
electrical test process to ensure best data quality for design feedback -
Work
with manufacturing to define tester control process and monitor tester
performance reports to ensure best data quality for design feedback -
Excellent
analytical and problem solving skills are critical.
Requirements:
- Masters in
EE/Physics/MatSci with 2-3 years’ work experience required; or BSEE in
EE/Physics/MatSci with 6+ years’ work experience. - Demonstrated
leadership skills through team leadership or project management. - Excellent
communication and people interaction skills. - Flexibility
for limited amounts (
Preferred Qualification:
- Ph.D.
in magnetics (EE, Physics or Materials Science) desired - Experience
with statistical analysis techniques, Design-of-Experiments, and SQL would
be helpful. - Experience
in product development, device integration, and/or electrical test data
characterization is also a plus.
