Hardware Expense Category Manager recruitment
Responsibilities:
- Developing strategies and plans to reduce the Bank's expenditure in technology
- Developing project plans for new initiatives, gain senior management support and execute cost savings programs
- Providing commercial leadership within the category and to all stakeholders
- Partnering with Technology and Business areas to identify, implement and track savings initiatives - including existing Asset Optimisation projects.
- Understanding and influencing IT architecture to deliver lowest total cost of ownership
- Performing and coordinating financial analytics to identify and fully capture savings opportunities
- Performing and coordinating analytics to identify and model demand strategies for contract negotiations
- Producing senior management reporting to demonstrate value clearly
- Building relationships with senior stakeholders in the IT organisation and the business functions, providing business liaisons with cost drivers and with expense line trends.
- Working with suppliers to drive total cost reduction
- Leveraging and implementing Global ideas in region and additionally contributing own ideas for Global implementation.
- Providing transparency into baseline costs and savings activities - direct costs and costs charged through rate cards.
- Spotting and utilising emerging technologies and trends on the market that drive value to Citi.
Skills
Knowledge/Experience:
Essential:
- Proven experience in developing cost reduction strategies and delivering cost reduction programmes
- Good IT domain expertise - credible with IT managers and teams.
Preferable:
- Experience in IT Architecture and Hardware Asset Management/Asset Optimisation
- Experience in management consulting or business advisory services (or internal programmes that offer similar experience)
- Good understanding of procurement/working with suppliers to drive out cost.
Qualifications:
- Degree
- Business Management background complimented with industry IT experience
- Extensive work experience in commercial roles
- Understanding of Category Management,
