Hardware Sales Specialist

£40-50K Basic OTE 80K per annum plus benefits
Our client a leading provider of managed and cloud-based services to enterprises and on-line businesses are looking for a Hardware Sales Specialist. The company has developed a comprehensive portfolio of solutions for global clients, involving hosting, ensuring application availability and performance as well as security and compliance. All its customers are hosted in purpose built internet data centres. Their customers include some of the world’s leading on-line businesses and corporate with some form of mission critical business to business platform.
Job Purpose:
- To sell H/W solutions to our existing client base and new clients.
- To support the major accounts team in providing solutions to their clients.
- To negotiate and improve margins from our H/W supplier partners.
- To over achieve revenue and margin targets.
You will be responsible for business development and account management. Approximately 50% of your business will come from existing accounts, and 50% from new business.
Responsibilities:
Your main responsibilities will be to plan and prioritise personal sales activites, your personal time and productivity. You will maintain your CRM records and be expected to follow their proven sales process methodologies. This will be a busy and challenging role involving client contact, business generation, quotations, up selling and achieving targets. You will also attend and present at external customer meetings as required, while facilitating other functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development.
Essential Requirements:
- You will come from a VAR IT Hardware Sales background, ideally with some key client contacts.
- You should have excellent business development and account management skills, a professional telephone manner and strong customer service skills, and be driven by rewards and success.
- You will need to be hard working, focused and driven.
- You will also understand the advantages and challenges of selling in a private, growing company.
- You should be capable of achieving long term goals and targets, and you must have a proven track record of success in VAR IT Hardware Sales.
