Role Summary/Purpose
Essential Responsibilities
This role is responsible for driving the pricing strategy and enabling pricing plans for GE HCIT business units by collaborating with stakeholders in Products and Regions (Marketing, Product Management, Sales and Service). They will help ensure proper pricing targets are set - balancing all business objectives. Additionally, this role works very closely with those teams to monitor the performance of the portfolio and recommend, develop and implement actions to adapt to the current environment. This is a very visible and influential member of the Marketing team contributing to the overall strategy and success of the business. Key responsibilities include: • Working collaboratively with the business teams, helping to set price of base software license, service and consulting contracts, as well as NPI’s. They will utilize best in class software and/or GE frameworks, along with key pricing tools such as PV Maps, EVE Analysis and the Business Case. • Coordinating with Marketing to ensure regular customer feedback is incorporated into pricing policies. • Developing (compliant) competitive analysis that provides an understanding of how GE’s price and offering compares to others. Understand commercial trends incorporating win-loss data, 3rd party information sources and field interaction. Recommend either strategic or tactical responses to those trends. • Working closely with finance teams to forecast quarterly price performance. Set quarterly targets balancing price, volume and share. • Working with Product and Region teams to analyze, create and monitor promotions and to develop tools to assist in articulating our products value in the market place. • Conduct diagnostics to determine key pricing levers and estimate pricing opportunity. • Build consensus with the key stakeholders and drive change. • Drive usage of target price setting, incentives and ad hoc tactical issues. • Partner with upstream and downstream marketing teams on ad hoc pricing projects.
Qualifications/Requirements
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field2. 5+ years of experience in Pricing, Marketing or a related field3. Demonstrated skill to clearly assess financial impact of business actions, recommend and implement strategy4. Excellent Communication skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in a easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing5. Successfully led cross-functional projects/process improvement within operations/finance function6. Leadership and influence skills for all levels of the business7. Global project experience
Desired Characteristics
1. Master’s Degree in Business/Finance and Corporate Audit Staff2. 3+ years’ experience in pricing for a major software vendor / healthcare software a plus3. 7+ years’ experience in pricing, marketing, finance or a related field4. Strong track record of working collaboratively to tackle cross-functional issues 5. Strong, Demonstrated background utilizing Pricing Tools6. Greenbelt Certified; experience in Lean and Value Stream Mapping. Skilled in driving change in key business processes7. Significant risk or downstream/operational marketing experience8. Excellent Communication skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex information in a easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing9. Proven record of accomplishment of establishing and managing project plans, adjusting to changing circumstances. Prioritizes and effectively controls key milestones.10.
