Our client is a WA based operation that provides customised solutions in earthmoving and associated parts and equipment to the mining and construction industry. With a focus on service delivery and quality equipment they have quickly gained a reputation as a key player in the industry.

About The Job

We are currently looking for several Heavy Duty Fitters to work a 2 and 1 rotation at various sites in WA. Flying out of Perth

The work will be your stock standard scheduled maintenance, preventative maintenance, break down and repair on surface mobile plant.

With a priority of keeping the fleet operational and mechanically sound 24 hours a day, you will be doing everything from servicing, general change outs / replacements, running repairs, diagnostic and reporting.

The equipment will range from

·        Off hwy dump trucks up to 250 tonne

·         Loaders up to 500 kilo watt

·         Excavators up to 400 tonne

·         Dozers up to D10 size

·         Water carts

·         Graders

The main brands are top of the range CAT, Komatsu, Leibherr and Hitachi.

As standard in the industry you will be doing 12 hour shifts and may be rotated from day to night depending on the site you are working at.

Site facilities do vary, however most sites have en-suites, mobile phone coverage and wifi internet connection and the usual activity rooms.

Tools

The more the better but you will need a decent set that will be transported by truck to site ready for when you fly in.

Candidates that have the following attributes will be looked on favourably.

·         Have excellent trade skills where you can diagnose quickly, work to a good pace, use your ingenuity and take pride in your work

·         Have at least 3 years post trade experience with a valid trade certification aligned with working on earth moving equipment,

·         Have experience on CAT, Komatsu, Leibherr, Hitachi, dump trucks excavators, loaders graders

·         Have experience on remote mining sites, been accustomed to hot and dusty conditions, open workshops and been away from family and friends

·         A career motivated individual with the outlook of ongoing work and the motivation to advance their career and skills

·         To be able to take direction and work well autonomously and in a team,

·         Have experience in diagnostic repairs, preventative maintenance and breakdowns

·         Be physically fit and be able to pass a standard medical and pass regular drug alcohol screens

Interstate Candidates

We are happy to look at interstate candidates, however travel expenses to Perth will will be the responsibility of the candidates.

Pay Rates

The role will start between $48.00 to $55.00 flat per hour depending on experience and can increase if you prove to be an excellent worker showing great skills and initiative. The pay is on a casual basis plus super and paid on a weekly basis.
