Head – Application Development recruitment

We are searching for a Head of Development for the Wealth Management development centre of one of the world’s leading banks.  This position has end to end responsibility and accountability for the software development group within the wealth business.

This role is responsible for the quality of applications and outputs from the development centre as well as having overall accountability for the group and all of its deliverables quality control.

An important aspect of this role is to work in close collaboration with the other functional heads within the bank to produce deliverables that are in compliance with the banks own standards for software development and architectural design.

Responsibility to ensure the correct design and implementation of the solutions that are in compliance with the SDLC

Relationship management with the senior regional stakeholders within the applications/architecture,  infrastructure and support functions

You will be responsible for driving excellence in all development practices from the code standards to application performance, packaging and delivery.

Further responsibilities:

In addition to the wider development group you would also direct a smaller core team whose responsibility is to deliver and maintain the common frameworks and building blocks for all applications.

You will drive the continual improvement of the development process, promoting a culture of striving for excellence

Responsible for the development of talent within the group and the increased overall competence of the team.
