Head Internal Audit
The Internal Audit function in DKSH has the mission to provide an independent appraisal of the different activities in DKSH in order to add value, improve operational efficiency, assess the management of risks and foster internal control systems, with direct reporting line to the Chairman as well as the Audit Committee.
Key responsibilities
- Take on the responsibility to run and manage the Group’s Internal Audit department
- Establish an annual audit plan based on a company risk assessment and in consultation with the Chairman, the Audit Committee and Group Management
- Implement the annual audit plan and special projects requested by the Chairman and Audit Committee
- Maintain an appropriate level of professional audit staff with sufficient knowledge, skills and experience to address the audit risks identified
- Issue audit reports on a timely basis
- Provide the Chairman and the Audit Committee with an assessment of the audited entities and overall risk profile at each Audit Committee Meeting
- Ensure that the audit departments comply with sound internal auditing principles and best internal audit practices
- Regularly issue guidelines on best business practices identified during audits of DKSH operations
- Maintain excellent communication links with all senior management in order to assess new audit needs and to add value to the business Assist and audit Risk Management processes and control systems
- Collaborate appropriately with external auditors and their processes
Profile
- University degree plus qualifications as CPA/CIA/CISA
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in external/internal audit. Relevant experience in both a big four audit firm as well as in a comparable position with an operating company
- Working experience within an international company in the Business Services Sector, Consumer Goods or Healthcare is required
- Relevant knowledge in publicly listed companies
- In-depth working experience in Asia
- Ability to quickly grasp complex business models
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills in a highly diversified business culture
- Excellent oral and written communications skills in English. Other languages as German or Asian are a benefit
- Experience in detailed audits with hands-on and pragmatic approach; comfortable working in high performance, dynamic and intercultural environment
- In-depth familiarity with SAP environment is an asset
- Additional qualifications such as working in small teams an asset; Function is exposed to high visibility within the entire company
- High degree of independence, self-motivation, commitment and ownership
- Entrepreneurial mindset: driven, hands-on, passionate, highenergy and responsive, an individual thriving on challenges
- Strong influential and relationship management skills
- Confident presence combined with excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as strong negotiation skills
- Ready to travel extensively
