Head (m/f) of Credit Analysis Team
Group Risk at Allianz is the central risk management department at the Group level. Credit Risk Team at Group Risk is the central global credit risk function and is responsible for credit risk modelling reporting as well as credit risk analysis and limit management. The ultimate objective of the Credit Analysis unit within the Credit Risk team is to monitor credit quality of exposures in Allianz group portfolio, to assess and manage exposure concentration risk in order to restrict potential losses from single credit events at the Group and OE level. Therefore, the main tasks of the credit analysis team are:
- Regular and ad-hoc credit review of single obligor groups, credit transactions, asset classes, segments and portfolios
- Monitoring of the credit quality of credit exposures and definition of Allianz internal ratings based on obligor and country risk analysis
- Maintenance and further development of Allianz internal obligor country limit system
- Limit setting, monitoring and management for countries, sovereigns, non-sovereigns at the Group operating entity level
- Supporting the Solvency II implementation at Allianz Group
Key Responsibilities
- Management of the Credit Analysis Unit within the Credit Risk Team, including four senior financial analysts
- Responsible for preparation of credit analysis reports focused on single counterparties, asset classes, countries or portfolios of Allianz Operating Entities based on review of valuation, risk, liquidity, economic and political factors. Usage of all available information sources such as balance sheet analysis, rating information, credit analysis reports from major rating agencies, press
- Analysis and monitoring of economic and market developments
- Limit monitoring and management at the Group level, including limit setting for major obligors, recommendations to Allianz investment management function with respect to required exposure and limit actions, discussion of remediation plans and limit requests proposed by Group or regional investment management function in case of limit breaches
- Assessment of exceptional requests from Allianz investment management function or Allianz Operating Entities related to the credit transactions and new financial instruments
- Preparation of recommendations to senior management of Allianz Group with respect to single investment proposals and credit portfolio management
Key Requirements/Skills/Experience
Qualifications
- University graduation in economic studies, CFA or MBA or comparable international degree
- Strong knowledge of (international) accounting standards
- Strong knowledge in the area of credit analysis, portfolio management, investment management and capital markets analysis
- Team management experience of at least 3 years
Experiences Key skills
- Working experience of at least 10 years in the area of credit risk and portfolio management at a bank, asset management company or insurance company
- Knowledge of investment or asset management
- Leadership skills
