Head of Alternative Funds Accounting and Reporting recruitment

Position Description:
As a key member of the management team, the incumbent will manage
the Hedge Funds and Private Equity (Alternative Funds) funds
accounting group. He/she will be responsible for the Alternative
Funds accounting and controls, audit and financial reporting, as
well as assisting with other reporting and compliance activities.
He/she will work with the fund administrator and the Alternative
Funds SFO to ensure the quarterly, annual and other reports are
timely and accurate in conformity with US GAAP. The incumbent will
ensure that all accounting processes and controls at the funds
administrator are in place and effective to support the accounting
and reporting objectives. He/she will serve as an effective leader
for the group internally as well as for external constituents and
investors.

Position Requirements:
The successful candidate should have at least 10 years of fund
accounting, administration and reporting functional experience
within a similar investment management organization and or public
accounting firm. He/she should have a high degree of familiarity of
alternative products and a high degree of familiarity with
accounting and disclosure requirements for complex fixed income
securities, real estate, private equity and derivatives. All
prospective candidates must have a deep knowledge of financial
products and investment practices as well as an advanced analytical
and technical proficiency in accounting and finance. The incumbent
should have the ability to envision the "big picture" while being
"hands-on" and maintaining close attention to detail. With
demonstrated leadership and management skills, he/she will exhibit
strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with an
ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
and outside constituents. He/she should have experience in working
with high volume, broad ranging, and rapidly changing work
environment. Ideally he/she would also have exposure to a broad
range of fund structures (e.g. ETF, offshore, UCITS, hedge, private
equity) as well. Lastly, the individual will be self-motivated,
results-driven, entrepreneurial and proactive, with strong
organizational skills. This leader should have an undergraduate
degree, a CPA designation (active or inactive), and a master's
degree in Business Administration or Accounting is strongly
preferred.

The position will be located at PIMCO's Global Headquarters in
Newport Beach, CA
