Head of AML Advisory

A global banking group require an experienced AML Leader to join their market leading Corporate and Commercial Banking business to lead on Financial Crime Product Advisory. Of particular interest are candidates with specialist knowledge of financial crime risk and policy in relation to Payments and Cash Management and Trade Receivables Finance.

For this role it is essential that you have experience of engaging with and advising the product development and sales teams within the business. Your role will require the successful candidate to;

Setting Group-wide policy for the AML risk management framework to meet AML requirements and legislation across the Corporate Bank
You will be accountable for implementing the Bank’s AML strategy, policy and standards, controls, systems and policies globally, down to the country level across the Corporate Bank
Act as principal point of contact for internal and external stakeholders in relation to AML risk (including regulators) in regards to Payments and Cash management as well as Trade Receivables Finance.
Participate in and work with relevant industry bodies and groups (e.g. British Bankers Association, American Bankers Association, Wolfsberg Group and others) in relation to AML related initiatives, trends and proposals.
Key strategic risk management leadership role providing oversight and management, of all aspects of these business lines AML including impact analysis of regulatory changes.
Critical forward looking leadership role requiring strong partnership with business to drive and accelerate the execution of the AML programmes that directly impact business performance.
Provide advice to the business across regions on risk associated with prospective business, products and service and design mitigation controls and strategies as appropriate

The role offers a unique level of senior stakeholder engagement across the business and with a global remit. This business line is of particular importance to the banks strategy going forwards.
