Head of AML/MLRO
A global Wholesale Bank requires a Head of AML across EMEA to lead on the Financial Crime programme based out of London. The bank have an excellent reputation for exceptional service and have embedded a strong compliance culture.
The role has come about due to a restructure in the business, with a board level decision to have a more direct leadership on Financial Crime across EMEA as well as several other territories. You will join the bank reporting directly in to the Global Head of Legal Compliance. This role is not only focused on strategy, but due to the size of their UK operation this role will also be very hands on with day to day AML tasks. this role will hold the CF11.
You should have previous AML leadership experience within banking gained in the UK. You should have strong working knowledge of JMLSG Guidance requirements as they apply to institutional businesses.
Your key responsibilities will include;
To possess a thorough a detailed understanding of the end-to-end business model and processes, and the relevant financial crime obligations, the incumbent will assist the business to manage financial crime risk.
Review and approve or provide advice in relation to Sanctions, AML/CTF, customer due diligence, jurisdictional risks, fraud, market abuse, bribery and corruption and data security.
Work with the business to implement industry best practice.
Responsible for ensuring the Financial Crime team is appropriately trained, coached and supervised.
Working knowledge of SWIFT payments monitoring sanctions
You will be the business SME on Financial Crime legislation and guidance.
Provide advice on UK/EU regulations to the business and provide input into policy consultations relevant to ANZ in Europe.
You will own the in-country AML/CTF Policy.
