Head of Architecture – London – £70-80k + Equity recruitment
Required experience:
- A highly technical individual with a clear pedigree of end to end architecture definition, delivery and ownership in the online arena.
-Experience of working for a news/media/publishing organisation, or with online products associated with content management systems
- End to end architecture definition, delivery and ownership in the online arena.
- Deep knowledge of information architecture, content management, web development and online content delivery.
- Deep knowledge of open source platforms including LAMP, Drupal, Liferay or Alfresco is critical
- Broad knowledge of a variety of programming languages such as Java, Perl and PHP
- Deep experience of working in information-intensive online B2B or B2C organizations.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into a comprehensive systems, information and data architecture and to make that architecture a reality
The Head of Development and Architecture is responsible for the technical and solutions architectural governance and controls of the main online and content management platforms. He/she would ensure that the organisation is maximising the interoperability and cost effectiveness of those environments. They would be responsible for appropriately documenting the current environments. They would then work with hosting and development partners to evolve them towards a world-class business information production and online client engagement platform.
