Head of Architecture and Engineering
Our Client, an international, fast-growing company, with unique products and services, are looking for a head of architecture and engineering, to lead the Architecture and Engineering Team and be responsible for the design, build, quality assurance, data management and deployment of all IT applications. Reporting directly to the CIO, you will be a key member of the Technology leadership team and an important link between the technology team and the rest of the business.
Requirements
- Broad technology knowledge and ideally delivery experience of relevant core technologies in a global capacity e.g. Ecommerce, Middleware, ERP, Risk Management
- Proven ability to deliver flexible, reliable, supportable, cost effective (packaged and bespoke) IT solutions Solid, demonstrable experience in IT Industry standards, services, design, architecture principles design, architecture views and viewpoint design, building block design, solutions modelling and systems behaviour
- An understanding of strategic issues, and an authority on the development life-cycle
- Good experience of IT Architecture (and underlying frameworks such as ADM, TOGAF) including the development and ensuring adherence to architecture principles and standards
- Experience of coordinating and managing a number of external delivery partners
- Good external links with technology houses and service providers to gather market benchmarks and information
- Financial Management experience including business case and ROI creation, budget management and forecasting
- Strong understanding of AGILE, SCRUM, PRINCE2, ITIL and CMMI working practice
- Experience in managing start-up or significant change would be an advantag
