Head of Audit, London Retail Banking Operation recruitment
Rare opportunity to work for a professional, successful and well run small banking operation in a Head of Audit capacity.
This established retail/corporate banking business is located in North London and comes with one direct report and a dual line of reporting both locally and overseas.
As Head of Internal Audit, you will develop and lead the Audit function, ensure achievement of the Audit Plan and give assurance on the integrity and effectiveness of the Bank's systems and controls. A key part of the role is to assess the rigour of the bank's systems and procedures, as well as provide advice and guidance to senior management to manage and reduce business risk.
The ideal candidate will be a fully Qualified Accountant, have extensive audit experience and solid exposure to banking, including retail banking. FSA fit for purpose or at least some exposure to the FSA will be considered an advantage.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate that they work effectively at Senior Management level and can contribute to strategic discussions with a clear, concise and accurate communication style as well as having the ability to persuade managers at all levels to implement changes.
