Head of Automated Market Making – EFX – Investment Bank

 

A large, established investment bank is looking to development their electronic trading business and as a result are looking for a head of automated Market making.

The ideal candidate will have exposure to algorithmic trading and have worked as a senior member or head of an eFx strategy team. You should be able to demonstrate not only electronic trading experience but also solid quant skills with a Quantitative Research Background.

 

Your responsibilities will include:-

- Driving the algorithmic trading function

- Formulating and backtesting of algorithmic trading strategies

- Price publishing of FX spot, forwards and swaps/ Working with Sales and Trading to deliver tailored prices to clients

- Developing/ Running proprietary client flow-based strategies

- Mentoring a team of  quants/algo-traders

- Ensuring new strategies are implemented, tested and rolled out for trading.

 

Applicants should have a highly quantitative background as you will be expected to be involved in the Creation/design of the eFx framework and underlying algorithms and analysing of electronic proprietary client flows.

Experience within systematic prop trading prior to Electronic trading/Market making is very valuable as you will need to be involved in the  management of systematic prop trading portfolio

 

This is an excellent opportunity to move to a versatile role that includes managing algorithmic trading research, liaison with Trading, and driving requirements for developers.

Within this role you will be instrumental in driving the eFx Trading strategy and building its algorithmic trading capacity therefore some leadership experience is important within this role.
