Main Accountabilities

Primary tasks include but are not limited to:

Bank Regulatory Compliance:

- Development and maintain of comprehensive policies, procedures and other compliance risk controls (i.e., monitoring/testing) to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable laws, regulations, rules, standards and guidelines (i.e., best practices).

- Develop and manage compliance training programs to ensure adequate knowledge and understanding among SGUS personnel of firm policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

- Apprise management of significant compliance risks and potential breaches of regulation or policy as well as proposed changes in rules and regulations that could affect our business.

Bank Regulatory Supervision:

Interface and manage relevant bank regulatory agencies to address ongoing information requests as part of the continuous supervision program of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York ("FRBNY") and New York State Department of Financial Services ("NYSDFS").

- Manage and coordinate the target examination process of SGUS banking businesses by the FRBNY and NYSDFS, including the preparation of responses to initial FDL information requests, arrangement of meetings with SGUS personnel and follow-up inquiries during exams.

- Manage and coordinate the examination process of SGUS banking businesses in Chicago (branch), Dallas (agency) and Houston (rep office) by relevant Federal (i.e., FRB) and/or State bank regulatory agencies.

- Track the status of management corrective actions in response to bank regulatory examination issues.

- Respond to other periodic regulatory inquiries, as necessary.

Other

- Support the Director of Compliance to further broader SGUS Compliance Department initiatives (i.e., Compliance Risk Management Program).

Capabilities – Required Qualification

Competencies

Required:

Extensive knowledge of US banking regulations

Desired/ Plus:

Knowledge of foreign bank regulations a plus

Prior Work experience

Required:

10 plus years of experience

Education

Required:

A Bachelor’s degree or higher education level of experience. Securities registrations a plus/
