Head of Brand and Advertising recruitment
This tier one multinational insurance group holds a leading position in the world. Growing and strengthening it's position every day, there is a need for a senior advertising and brand professional to define global strategy and enhance the Company'sbrand awareness and reputation during a critical period in the company's history.
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer , the leadership provided by this executive will be instrumental in defining and nurturing the Company's public profile, and building shareholder value. In short, this candidate will have an outstanding opportunity to define and build and implement Marketing strategies of true global proportion, visibility and importance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the global and country marketing teams to provide outstanding professional leadership, development, direction and oversight and coaching for all branding and advertising effort.
- Collaborate closely with the Distribution teams and Regional Chief Executive offices, to develop and launch a global, advertising and sponsorship strategy that optimises the Company's competitive strengths and value proposition to employees, customers, investors, and the business community.
- Work collaboratively to create the future of this company's brand based on customer research, the Company's values and mission. Lead the team to create the roadmap to implement the future brand, including marketing to implications for product design, after-market support, etc.
- Work with Customer Insight to determine true customer needs and expectations which will be pivotal to building the brand. Evaluate gaps between aspiration and the current state, and effectively translate this information to a roadmap of the future.
- Provide strategic branding recommendations as they relate to issues such as brand architecture, dual branding, transition branding etc.
- Provide strategic direction with agency partners around the world to encourage alignment of materials with overall brand identity (including service manuals, price lists, etc.).
- Research and utilize competitive as well as external (non-industry) best practices for branding
- Subject to the skill sets of the successful candidate, the role will also be responsible for the development and implementation of the Digital Mobile strategy.
Responsibilities:
- 10+ years of marketing experience, with significant experience in branding and brand development with deep experience drawing conclusions from customer insights and developing clear market segmentation.
- Proven leadership capability, with an ability to build, develop and lead a brand focused marketing team whose efficacy is highly regarded.
- Significant experience managing cross-geography marketing projects.
- Experience leading the selection and management of external agencies.
- An ability to and interest in travelling is required.
- Undergraduate degree required, an MBA is preferred.
