Head of Branding & Advertising recruitment

The incumbent will also oversee QNB’s advertising activities and ensure that these are aligned with the Group’s overall business vision and strategy.

Essential Duties Responsibilities by Dimensions:

A.Shareholder Financial:

-Set, manage and control corporate branding and advertising related budgets to facilitate the delivery and execution of the communications budget and strategy.

-Provide inputs in the creation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for performance monitoring and quality measurement purposes for the Branding Advertising function and assist in monitoring their achievement on periodic basis.

B.Customer (Internal External):

-Maintain regular contact with Business Heads, Managers and leaders to ensure full integration and fit of Branding Advertising goals and objectives with Business goals and objectives.

C.Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory):

-Assist the AGM Marketing in the roll-out and implementation of Branding and Advertising strategies and activities.

-Ensure that the Branding and Advertising processes within QNB are operating effectively and efficiently toward achieving high operating standards.

-Develop innovative and effective methods of Advertising to ensure that all related activities are in line with Bank’s overall strategy and branding requirements.

-Lead the planning effort behind the rolling marketing communication plan in coordination with the AGM Marketing to ensure that both corporate level brand-building objectives and also the product and segment-focused business objectives are supported in a cohesive manner.

-Ensure that each planned activity effectively leverages the QNB Brand at a strategic level whilst delivering the tactical business goals and objectives of product areas.

-Identify opportunities to improve customer brand experience and drive market exposure.

-Produce Branding and Advertising plans annually to guide the priorities of the unit, working closely with the AGM Marketing to ensure this reflects priorities outlined in the Department’s Plan.

-Oversee the conduct of quality reviews on usage of QNB brands and publication of QNB materials to ensure correctness and conformity with established corporate brand standards and specifications.

-Drive the development and implementation of regional and global brand strategies.

-Represent the Group in seminars/ conferences to reflect a superior image about the Group and its strategy.

-Oversee the development and implementation of all marketing programs (Advertising, Promotions, and PR) to support the Group brand.

D.Learning Knowledge:

-Extensive knowledge of integrated branding techniques and how to select and apply the use of them to meet campaign objectives

-Hold meetings with direct reports and assess their performance.

-Take decisive action to ensure speedy resolution of unresolved grievances or conflicts within the team.

E.Other:

-Ensure high standards of confidentiality for commercially sensitive information.

Education/Experience Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree preferably in Marketing, PR or related subjects.

-Minimum of 6 years experience in a major bank of which at least 5 years in a managerial capacity of a branding and advertising functions

-Evidence of ability to track and evaluate effectiveness of branding campaigns.

-Ability to develop and implement branding strategies in complex organizations.

-Ability to be involved with highly-sensitive information, using discretion and integrity.

-Excellent presentation skills.

-Resilient, with the ability to work to deadlines and maintain high levels of professionalism under pressure

-Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic (preferred).

-Self-motivated, eye for detail.

-Ability to persuade others.

Operating Environment/ Location:

-Located at QNB Headquarters with visits to domestic and overseas entities, as and when required/ considered necessary.

-Group’s overall strategic plan.

-Budgetary/ scorecard targets.

-Applicable policies and procedures.

-Relevant regulatory pronouncements of applicable local and international regulators and related best practices.

-Delegated and re-delegated authorities as per the delegation of authority structure.

-Instructions of the AGM Marketing and GM Group Communications.

Communications and Working Relationships:

-Department management and management of the department units, subsidiaries, branches and other Group entities, whether within or outside Qatar.

-Close working relationships with the AGM Marketing for coordination and approvals.

-Regulatory authorities, external professional associations/ bodies and also Newspapers, Televisions and other Media Communications.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

-Directly supervise the Head of Advertising and Head of Branding.
