Head of Business Analysis Practice – Banking recruitment

A leading bank are currently recruiting for a Head of Business Analysis Practice. This strategic role would involve the management and leadership of the Business Analysis practice to enable delivery of a £1bn per annum investment portfolio.

You will already be in the Banking and Financial Services industry and hold a similar executive position. This is a key role where the management of a practice of circa 500 resources with 10-15 direct reports, reporting directly to the banks COO.

Accountabilities

*Manage and lead the overall Business Analysis Practice contributing to the delivery of the investment portfolio
*Lead the effective allocation of business analysts to programmes across the investment portfolio.
*Ensure that all resources in the practice have the appropriate capability and training to operate in a complex matrix environment - driving transformation programmes to drive the improvement in capability to world-class levels.
*Drive continuous improvement of business analysis processes
*In conjunction with the Project Management Practice and CIOs, shape and develop effective programme structure and project management deployment across the entire investment portfolio.
*Resource, develop and deploy a fluid, highly capable resource

Key Capabilities

*Significant experience of operating at a senior level, building effective relationships and dealing with executive colleagues
*A broad understanding of a business or service environment and awareness of the factors that influence business decisions and strategy
*Experience of developing and maintaining a robust demand / supply model
*Significant experience in leading large and complex cross divisional programmes and major change initiatives
*Proven ability to manage analysis across medium to large scale size portfolio of initiatives
*Expert/Detailed knowledge within assigned Business Analysis
*Ability to take a strategic view
*Display high level of analytical problem solving skills and the ability to assimilate complex information, to facilitate escalation and resolution of issues
*Strong financial, accounting and modelling skills to support development of robust strategies, including business cases
*Ability to manage conflicting demands of a variety of stakeholders
*Experiencing of effectively managing and developing high-performing teams
*Ability to influence at all levels
*Ability to develop, shape policy and strategy, and turn into concrete actions, delivered to meet targets and strong capability to deliver transformational change
