Head of Business Development – Asset Management recruitment

Job Summary

This role provides an excellent opportunity to cover a very broad territory where you will be judged on the pipeline that you build. Working closely with senior sales colleagues who will lead asset raising efforts for specific channels you will:

• Create and implement an effective sales strategy.

• Position and sell all products into the UK market.

• Take ownership of developing and maintaining relationships with key decision makers across all channels.

• Client Coverage: Pension Funds, Insurance Companies, Endowments, Other Financial Institutions, Multi-Managers, Platforms and Family Offices.

• Provide input into other company initiatives as necessary.

Requirements for the role are:

• A high level of technical ability across multiple asset classes.

• A minimum of ten years' experience in an external sales role for an asset management group.

• Deep understanding of the buying behaviour of both institutional and wholesale investors.

• Very high energy levels and a focus on raising assets in line with tough new business targets.

• Good commercial skills and the ability to sense and capitalise on new opportunities will need to be demonstrated through previous experience.

• High personal initiative and independent working / ability to work under pressure.

• Confidence in dealing with internal colleagues at the most senior level in a demanding environment.
