Responsibilities
- To support the Head of Data Standards, Governance and Infrastructure to implement a consistent set of Finance data standards across enterprise architecture
- To work in partnership with Technology and Operations to embed Finance data standards in new applications / infrastructure.
- To work in partnership with Technology and Operations to address data quality in legacy source systems resulting in material manual corrections in Finance infrastructure and applications.
- To coordinate impact assessment across Finance infrastructure and application teams arising from enterprise source system changes, to ensure finance requirements are funded and delivered by source system AEs, and that Finance enforces its data and interface standards in the new source systems
- To coordinate impact assessment arising from changes from internal Finance projects to ensure impact on finance data infrastructure is well understood, standards are complied with, and AEs for these projects provide for adequate regression testing across impacted finance infrastructure and processes.
- To own the strategic Finance data infrastructure of the Bank, manage its product roadmap based on vendor development lifecycle and stakeholders’ strategic requirements. To ensure changes in source systems, data integration infrastructure, etc are robustly managed within the Finance data infrastructure to continuously improve data services to stakeholders.
- To minimize the number of touch points for stakeholders external to Finance when engaging Finance infrastructure teams on change assessment.
Requirements:
- Understanding of Financial, Market and Credit Risk data infrastructure and models, its use and maintenance as pertaining to the Financial Services Industry
- Analytical and conversant with data modeling and data governance, data analysis and management including controls aspects, including data quality and master data management
- Track record experience in managing large portfolio of change initiatives as program director / manager, with specific knowledge and experience in front to back change implementations into the GL, supporting financial management reporting.
- Delivery of high quality work, and within framework of a strategic target operating model and set of information management standards across multi faceted environment and stakeholder group.
- High levels of drive and self motivation
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, ability to influence views to deliver the desired outcome of incrementally embedding finance information needs and standards into the enterprise architecture footprint.
- Pragmatic approach to achieving the objectives set, able to flex an approach as needed
- Capacity to think creatively and laterally; excellent reasoning skills and the ability to make sound judgments
