GRG is at the leading edge of a wider rescue culture and is a major contributor to the bottom line of the RBS Group. We work closely with stressed trading businesses to restructure their debt and help restore them to health. GRG also has a major role to play in reducing the Group’s non-core property exposures and re-building the strength of the UBG Balance sheet.
Reporting to the Head of GRG Ireland Asset Initiatives, you role will be to develop the strategy for the Bank’s Residential and Commercial investment assets to maximise value capture and capital usage for the bank including through asset management and disposal. You will manage the execution of approved asset management and exit strategies through asset sales, loan repayment, refinancing or loan sale in conjunction with Relationship Management teams. You will also contribute to GRG Irelands overall success and be recognised as the leading edge of a wider rescue culture and a major contributor to the Group’s bottom line
Based in Dublin, you will need to demonstrate:
- A minimum of 15 years relevant residential and commercial transaction experience in the investment property market in NI, ROI and / or UK, including successfully structuring property transactions and buying and selling investment portfolios.
- Chartered Surveyor, Professional property and / or other relevant financial qualification
- Comprehensive business, credit and financial risk analysis
- Comprehensive knowledge of the investment characteristics of commercial property
- Demonstrated track record in understanding markets, identifying buyers, deal origination, structuring and execution
- Experience in presenting commercial arguments and working with a variety of deal structures and legal vehicles, including defending against robust challenge
- Proven track record of understanding, assessing, monitoring and controlling risk including an ability to deliver fit for purpose structures and strategies
- Extensive knowledge of legal and funding issues in real estate and planning for them in developing asset strategies
