Head of Commodity Advisory – Private Banking - Dubai
A great and unique opportunity for a commodity markets specialist to join a rapidly expanding Private Banking arm of a global bank. The bank is keen on building a commodities franchise and dependent on the individual and their business plan/vision, they can make a strong case to develop this role to support the entire bank.
Role:
The Head of Commodity advisory will provide leadership to a team that will provide views and advice on the broad range of commodities. The team will
1.Provide views on all the major commodity markets
2.Provide written output on the commodity markets
3.Provide views on how best to access commodity markets through products
4.Advise clients on how to invest in commodity markets
5.Structure deals to manage and hedge commodity price risk for SMEs
6.Offer long and short term trading ideas for active clients
Near term targets
1.Establish themselves as the first port of call for clients with respect to commodity views
2.Educate RMs and investment advisors on commodity markets
3.Establish the bank as a centre of expertise in the region on commodity markets
Required
1.Educated to degree level
2.10+ years experience of working in commodity markets
3.A working knowledge of the investment markets
4.A working knowledge of private banking/investment management
5.A good knowledge of the many ways of accessing commodity markets
6.A self starter who will be proactive in building a commodity franchise for Private Banking
