Job Function Summary
The successful candidate will have a significant regulatory background in the European markets.The candidate will have a strong grasp of rules and regulations, and compliance processes and systems
Key Responsibilities
Oversee compliance for Europe
Formulate local policies and procedures, and coordinate global compliance initiatives.
Responsible for overseeing local regulatory filings and interaction with regulators.
Advise senior management on regulatory changes across Europe
Manage compliance staff in London
Significant interaction with all facets of the firm's trading and back-office departments (e.g., accounting, operations, technology, risk management, internal audit, etc.), as well as senior management
Qualifications/Skills Required
5-10 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of and/or experience with the rules governing FSA authorised investment firms and FSA inspections/audits
Strong communication and writing skills
Detail oriented; Demonstrates thoroughness and strong ownership of work
Good team player with a strong willingness to participate and help others
Superior leadership skills
Able to prioritize in a fast moving, high pressure, constantly changing environment; Good sense of urgency
