Head of Consumer Research
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Consumer Equity Research team by leading a team of 4 research analysts/associates to make investment recommendations on Hong Kong listed companies
- Monitor the Consumers research team to produce high quality, concise and critical industry and company reports
- Lead the daily morning briefing meeting
- Provide guidance and evaluate the performance of research analysts
- Organize and attend research conferences, roadshows and analyst presentations. Provide presentations during investment seminars
- Maintain and develop relationships with clients and listed companies
- Coordinate with the internal equity sales and compliance professionals to ensure timely delivery of research reports
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor/Master degree in economics/financial or related disciplines
- Solid experience gained with 1st or 2nd tier research house, international investment bank, securities brokerage house or related fields with 10 years or above sector coverage experience and 5 years or above managerial experience
- Strong management and analytical skills, detail-mined with tough character, proven ability to set up financial modeling and financial analysis and able to work independently and under pressure
- Good communication, presentation and technical analysis skills
- Based in Hong Kong but travelling to the Mainland is required
- Fluent English, Cantonese Mandarin a must
