Head of Contol & Governance, Asset/Fund Management recruitment
This role will be responsible for the definition and ongoing execution of the Control and Governance framework around the Asset Management company. The role holder will have a dual reporting line to the Head of Fund Management and the Global Head of Governance Control.
The role holder will be accountable for;
- The definition of roles and repsonsibilites between Control and Governance, Supplier Management, Operations and our 3rd Party suppliers
- The maintenance of the Governance framework underpinning the Fund ranges
- Preperation and oversight of the suite of Market and Operational risk management reports, complying with UCITS IV and other regulatory requirements
- Definition and execution of an ongoing Assurance and Control framework including responding to risk events and other issues, defining root cause and proposing process improvement
- Oversight of outsourcing arrangements with 3rd parties and escalation of issues to the Head of Funds and platforms
- Defintion and operation of level 2/3 controls (for example; oversight reports, check lists, governance manuals)
- Assisting the Head of Asset Management ensure the effective day to day operation of the business
- Playing a key role in the impelmentation of major strategic projects effecting the fund ranges
Professional Experience:
- The role holder will possess commercial experience within Asset Management, an in depth knowledge of the funds industry (regulatory, operational, risk and control and compliance regime, product development, sales marketing), solid understanding of the Wealth Management industry sector and the associated client needs
- Degree educated individual and highly preferred professional qualification/further education such as; ACA, CFA, MBA, MSc Finance
- Audit experience would be highly valuable
- Other qualifications in project/programme mangement would be an advantage
