Head of Cost Management
Investigo are recruiting for the Wealth Division of a leading bank, who are seeking a Head of Cost Management to lead a team of four.
Effective and efficient cost management is a key priority for the Wealth Division in 2013. This high profile role will be responsible for implementing and executing a multi-dimensional end to end cost process to deliver sustainable value efficiency. This is a new role and the job-holder will have an extensive remit, sponsored by the CEO and CFO, to identify and drive through cost reduction initiatives.
Person Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience in banking / financial services industry.
- Strong analytical skills as well as a good understanding of the value of financial and non-financial Management Information and its uses.

Professional Accountancy qualification, other relevant professional qualification or comparable, relevant work experience history and educated to degree level
Objectives:
- Build a Centre of Excellence team across Wealth Finance community (e.g. international reach)
- In conjunction with the Business and Procurement, identify and deliver initiatives and projects that fundamentally change the cost income ratio of the Wealth businesses
- Design and embed a division wide framework to include education, KPI tools, controls and reporting
- Review and optimise approach for cost allocations across the matrix businesses and legal entities supported by an automated technical solution
- Create clear flow of cost impacts from investment decision to business as usual
- Maintain clear overview of cost forecast for division including clear distinction in structural views of investment and business as usual
- Responsible for partnering Wealth Investment portfolio and enhancing the framework for benefits tracking across the division
- Build an environment to ensure improved governance and controls
