HEAD OF CREDIT RISK, PRIVATE BANKING recruitment

Reporting to the Regional Head of Credit Risk Management, you will be responsible for the overall management and direction of the credit risk function, with additional responsibilities to oversee Operational Risk and IT Risk Management. Lead and manage the Hong Kong Risk Management unit, provide guidance, supervision, oversee/review and ensure efficient credit proposals, internal processes and control exist. Responsible for the overall management of the credit portfolio with an aim to minimize loan provision and losses. Monitor and maintain compliance with group policies and local regulatory guidelines. Set and draft new credit policies as required and provide operational guidance to internal users on the new requirements. Remain informed about legal, reputation, economic and other developments in all relevant countries for the Bank to estimate their impact on credit profile and take pre emptive and mitigating measures. Align with Head Office best practices, initiatives and projects.

To qualify for the position, you should be a University graduate with 8-10 years credit risk management experience in private banking preferred. Excellent knowledge in Private Banking products including treasury derivatives. Good knowledge in regulatory requirements in Hong Kong. Self-motivated, proactive and business oriented. Excellent command in both spoken and written English and Chinese. Fluency in Mandarin is preferred.
