Head of Credit Technology
Specific responsibilities include leading the architecture, design, development and implementation of all systems that directly support every desk in Credit across assets – Derivatives and Cash. Additionally, responsible for representing the business in facing off to all horizontally aligned technology teams, i.e. Back Office, Electronic Trading, Data and Risk Services. The collaboration with these other teams while also influencing design and prioritization is instrumental to the success of both Credit and the overall WFS technology and business teams. Specifically, the Head of Credit role will play an active role along with the Head of Cash Trade Lifecycle Services to reengineer our Fixed Income Core Trading Services platforms.
This role will build, manage and retain teams of high caliber capital markets technologists through comprehensive talent management including succession planning and is responsible for managing other managers effectively leading performance management compensation processes. Role requires incorporation of the organization’s mission, vision and core values into relevant tactical strategic goals and ensuring that the team is coordinated in its efforts to partner with the business strives to eliminate duplication of efforts when building out applications and services. Role is responsible for financial planning, budgeting and cost optimization. Role serves as a strategic advisor in the development of electronic trading technology plans that create a sustained competitive advantage and provides leadership to drive technology change at the division level by keeping current with industry changes developing external partnerships to leverage common solutions. Role includes responsibility for overall platform reliability / supportability and ensuring that all regulatory and risk compliance standards are met.
Minimum Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in capital markets trading services / applications development. In-depth working knowledge of Credit Derivatives and Cash products.
• 8+ years of technology management / leadership experience, overseeing teams responsible for electronic trading services / applications development.
• Prior successful track record in the development and implementation of electronic trading applications used in capital markets asset classes – Credit, Rates preferred; others considered.
• Recognized thought leadership in Capital Markets technology, evidenced by prior responsibility for industry recognized platforms with high levels of scalability, performance and stability.
• Strong expertise in the evolving regulatory requirements and manage their impact on technology and operational platforms processes.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with infrastructure and engineering teams.
• Superior communication, leadership, organizational and influencing skills across business and technology teams in multiple divisions and in multiple locations.
• Ability to continually understand competitive standards trends for Credit technology in order to best balance WFS business needs with WFS client demands.
• Proven ability to attract, retain and develop talent in the strategic competitive area of Capital Markets trading technology.
Preferred Skills:
Masters degree and/or Series 7 or equivalent preferred.
