Head of Customer and Business Risk recruitment
Our client, one of the UK’s most respected financial services organisations, requires an accomplished and proven risk leader for the role of Head of Customer and Business Risk, reporting directly to the Group Risk Director.
This is an exceptional opportunity to exercise your proven mental agility, emotional intelligence and inquisitive nature, providing effective leadership of the second line risk oversight for the Group’s customer, operational, regulatory and transformation risks, whilst constructively challenging established senior executive thinking. The unusually broad scope of this role encompasses the following risks: customer conduct, customer experience, legal, regulatory, transformation, people, premises, information technology, information management, information security, financial crime, financial reporting, third party management and business continuity.
With a team of approximately 50 FTE, comprising 6 - 8 direct and 500 indirect reports, your responsibilities will include the definition and development of frameworks and methodologies to manage these risks; maintaining a Group-wide perspective and consciousness; constructive testing and challenge of first line control (up to and including Executive Director); championing good practice; and mobilising effective responses to key risks and issues.
You will need to demonstrate the stature and confidence necessary to play a lead role in representing the Group effectively and credibly, being an authority on customer and business risk, with both internal and external stakeholders - including the FSA supervisory and technical teams.
