Head of Data Management and Quality recruitment
Responsible for defining the overall Ulster Bank data management strategy with RBS Group and developing and overseeing the associated business plans and implementation programme to deliver this
- Responsible for managing the business glossaries data dictionary for Ulster Bank, ensuring Ulster Bank data is understood and clearly defined
- Responsible for ensuring all change programmes in Ulster Bank define their data requirements and data scope and identify owners and stewards where appropriate
- Responsible for ensuring Data Governance is established in Ulster Bank, aligned with Group Data Governance
- Responsible as owner for setting and measuring the KPIs to define base quality of data and programme improvement across the Ulster Bank Businesses
- Responsible for developing and driving initiatives to improve the quality of data
- Responsible for developing automated MI reporting across the Group
- Responsibility for building and managing the data management and quality team, including RBS Group off-shore facilities as and where appropriate
Major Activities and Responsibilities
- Develop the Data Management Strategy for Ulster Bank aligned to the RBS Group Strategy
- Develop the Business Glossary and Data Dictionary for Ulster bank
- Establish and maintain an effective and respected Data Management practice in Ulster Bank
- Lead the Ulster Bank Data Design Authority and Operating Committee
- Clear and syndicated vision and change programme to deliver the target Ulster Bank data and system architecture
- Develop work plans and working groups to implement key areas of change
- Devise and Implement clear and measurable KPIs and targets to assess and improve data quality issues
- Develop, manage and monitor data quality change initiatives/impact to improve overall data quality
- Outline MI and business tool requirements and prioritisation of requests
- Develop accurate standardised MI reporting processes through team (including outsource centres where appropriate)
- Feedback of key successes and issues to Executive Committee and RBS Group to improve overall group impact
- Strong commercial awareness
- Ability to think through issues, identify key drivers and find solutions

Essential Criteria
- Solid experience from technical background in data and systems management/architecture (preferably from a financial institution)
- Strategic project development and implementation planning
- Proven expertise in Data Management including industry best practice
- Knowledge of data modelling
- Proven experience of operating at a strategic level to achieve business goals and influence change
- Experience with designing end-to-end solutions and developing strategies using project management
- Experience using strategic tools and frameworks to develop innovative and business aligned recommendations
- Strong facilitation skills to engage and align senior leaders in the delivery of customer improvements
- Experience in managing and developing a team.
