Head of Decision Support
This Head of Decision Support job in Edinburgh with a growing, customer-focussed business is an excellent opportunity for finance business partners/decision support managers to really develop their careers. The Head of Decision Support is responsible for providing robust financial analysis and analytical support for the Commercial teams in order to achieve short, medium and long term business goals. Thus, the Head of Decision Support will act as the key finance contact for the Commercial Director and other key stakeholders (particularly at Exec Co level). Your team therefore will act as business parters to the various product teams with responsibility for delivering product profitability analysis with full understanding of income drivers to inform and improve product performance.
The Head of Decision Support will ensure the production and development of quality annual/five year profit plans, with full product PLs (including stress scenario forecasts). Monthly forecasts to facilitate and drive commercial activity and financial analysis/support to improve the commercial planning process will also form a core part of the Head of Decision Support's duties.
As a fully qualified accountant with several years' experience working in a similar role, you will have a proven ability to influence at the Exec Co level, and have a proven ability to lead/develop a growing business area. Financial modelling skills will be a given, as will the ability to stress test appropriately.
