Head of Direct Banking recruitment
This is a significantly senior position that covers the whole island of Ireland, leading a team of c.350 Direct Banking employees and managing a budget of £8.1m.
You will drive and develop the Direct channels for Ulster Bank Retail, leading to achievement of stretching business growth and income targets through significantly increasing the number of customers from the current base. You will also lead and grow a high calibre team that will deliver a compelling, differentiated customer experience via Telephony, Digital and ATM channel service excellence, deliver significant improvements in sales and service performance and increase overall customer profitability for both the Retail and Business customer segments. And deliver agreed balanced business scorecard metrics for these channels including financial performance, customer satisfaction, operational effectiveness and risk and controls measures.
To succeed you will need to demonstrate:
- Significant leadership experience, with strong track record of sound business judgment gained from a global financial services company or consultancy.
- Demonstrable experience of planning and organising skills, including design and delivery of strategic change and sales improvement programmes
- Proven experience in one or more direct channels, with high level of technical, commercial and customer competence, gained from Financial Services or other industries to ensure world-class expertise
- Comprehensive knowledge of retail banking and associated operational platforms
- Full understanding of external regulations and their impact on the customer
- Excellent industry skills and acumen with awareness of developments trends that impact on the Retail business
