Head of Distribution, UK recruitment

• Manage the UK distribution team

• Set and agree performance targets in conjunction with the regional director and ensure that these are achieved

• Assess current client service capabilities and look at ways of improving the quality of service provided.

• Design and implement the marketing strategy to effectively target the UK market

• Ensure that all retail and corporate distribution channels to market are utilized to achieve maximum profit

• Identify and exploit suitable market opportunities in both retail and B2B arenas

• Ensure that the business area is compliant within the regulatory environment as well as all other anti-money laundering, legal and compliance requirements within operational region

• Establish initial budget proposal for the business area together with the account management department and the head of region

• Ensure the branch operates within approved budget requirements

• Recruit, induct and train new team members

• Manage, coach, support and develop employees to effectively deliver the requirements of the Spreadbetting/ on-line trading firm

• Carry out regular staff appraisals in line with the Group’s performance management process and monitor individual/team progress against KPIs and business requirements

• Allocate and manage team workload including development of shift rota and management of absence and leave requests

• Assist team with lead management, account opening and clients’ education

• Prepare and distribute regular dealing and market commentary reports

• Produce regular and ad-hoc reports on business performance

• Manage the building and office environment on a day to day basis

• Ensure compliance with all disaster recovery, health safety and security procedures

• Assist in the provision of management and statutory accounts and company filings as and when required
