Head of eCommerce Pricing
This is an opportunity to lead the eCommerce Pricing , newly formed, optimisation teams who are critical to ensuring value maximization for as well as ensuring is a value added partner to its merchants. The remit includes developing the pricing strategy, pricing models/governance and commercial pricing initiatives. It will also include developing the optimisation team whose remit is to identify interchange and acceptance optimisation opportunities and lead cross functional resources to ensure they are delivered.
Key Roles Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage a team of highly skilled pricing managers optimisers
- Working with the CCO and CFO, drive the development of the e-commerce global pricing strategy, implementing value based pricing
- Lead on the development and enhancement of key pricing models used by the business to predict margin and income, with integrated benchmarking and ‘what if’ analysis tools
- Conduct profitability, price sensitivity, risk and scenario analysis and identify opportunities for price optimisation
- Identify and manage pricing projects and initiatives to generate incremental revenue for the business
- Conduct competitive product and price positioning analysis
- Conduct impact assessment of interchange scheme fees, inform the business and implement structured programmes of portfolio repricing.
- Support the creation and closure of profitable business engagements
- Educate the sales force on all matters related to pricing, margin calculation, bids, RFPs and renegotiations
- Support in key RFP/tender/renegotiation processes as required
- Develop and produce global pricing reports to provide insightful analysis
- Embed the pricing governance structure in the organisation and train the salesforce on the pricing models as well as governance
- Contribute to the Transformation agenda, ensuring all business pricing requirements are delivered by the new platform
- Develop the role of the optimisation team, providing leadership and structure
- Working closely with analytics, identify acceptance optimisation opportunities, make recommendations to frontline Sales/RM teams and merchants and drive their realisation
- Develop best practices to maximise acceptance and work with Operations teams to ensure implementation
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong management skills, able to manage a team of highly skilled individuals
- Background in the global payment industry, ideally credit card pricing, Telecoms or Financial Services
- Very strong commercial acumen with highly developed pricing skills
- Managing projects and initiatives from concept through to implementation
