Head of EMEA & Zurich Credit Control recruitment
ROLE SUMMARY:
Managing the Credit Control function of EMEA and Zurich (comprising 5 staff) that has responsibility for maintaining a robust credit risk monitoring, reporting and control environment in accordance with Global CRM policies and procedures.
The Role Involves:
- Primary duties of the Credit Control team include:
- Credit exposure investigation and reporting
- Credit system data maintenance, exposure limit capture
- Management reporting of credit exposures and key risk indicators
- Regional regulatory and audit liaison
- Providing support to the Regional Chief Credit Officer
- Coordinating CRM’s involvement in New Business initiatives
- Coordinating CRM’s involvement in Industry initiatives e.g. Recovery and Resolution Planning
- Training front-office personnel in CRM policy and the use of CRM systems
Department Overview
The mission of Credit Risk Management (CRM) is to manage overall credit risk consistent with the bank’s credit appetite, policies, and business objectives. CRM has approximately 140 professionals supporting the IB business across all the major Credit Suisse locations, including New York, London, Zurich, Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo.
The CRM Department's key roles and responsibilities are:
- Developing and administering credit policies and procedures
- Monitoring counterparty exposures and performance
- Managing credit risk exposures, including country exposure and impaired assets
- Working in partnership with the business divisions to facilitate and approve transactions
- Assigning credit ratings and approving credit risk limits.
Candidate Value Proposition
The role will provide the candidate with extensive experience in a key risk management function of Credit Suisse that will entail regular interaction with senior CS managers and regulators. Qualifications
- Extensive financial industry experience and ideally experience in risk management and control roles.
- Investment Banking financial product knowledge.
- Experience managing teams.
- The candidate must have good attention to detail, have a strong appreciation of controls and be capable of applying control principles to a wide variety of situations.
- The candidate will need to be resourceful, have strong communication skills and be capable of solving problems by working across teams and departments.
- The candidate should be self-motivated, possess strong inter-personal skills, and demonstrate strong leadership abilities
- Education: Relevant industry degree and Finance related second degree, MBA or professional qualification would be desirable.
