Head of Employer Installation recruitment
NEST is a new workplace pension scheme designed specifically to meet the needs of a target audience largely new to pension saving. NEST is easy to use for members and their employers.
The Customer Services Team will ensure that all employers who are considering using NEST are prepared for and successfully brought into the scheme. The team will also lead and manage the early volunteer programme for employers who choose NEST before the duties apply to them.
Their responsibilities include working with large employers and early volunteer employers to plan and implement the introduction of NEST. This includes developing solutions to work alongside existing pension providers, as well as payroll and employer-facing third party software providers.

Head of Employer Installation
The Head of Employer Installation leads a field team of installation experts who are responsible for working onsite with large employers to help them set up NEST. They will be fully involved in their own installation projects as well as providing the wider strategy, management and co-ordination of the department.
Role deliverables
The successful candidate will have responsibility for the following:
• creating, developing, leading and managing the Employer Installation Team providing field support to larger employers wishing to use NEST to meet their automatic enrolment duties
• developing in conjunction with the Head of Employer Solutions, the proposition and key elements of the service offering to large employers
• developing generic plans for working with large employers together with preferred and optional timescales
• creating employer scheduling tools and reports to ensure that all employers requiring installation support are allocated appropriate resource
• day-to-day management of the Employer Installation Managers including their relevant learning, personal development and performance reviews
• agreeing a strategy with the Distribution Team for handover to the Employer Installation Team and managing this process effectively
• capturing direct employer feedback from the team and the employers so that the Head of Employer Solutions can use the feedback to improve existing and develop future tools and guidance
• working with the other members of the Customer Services Team to develop proposals for a “self-managed NEST joining journey” process for high volumes of smaller employers
• Work with third party administrators on installation issues.
Candidate requirements
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
• significant experience of installing corporate pensions schemes working with large employers
• experience of being a successful ‘player/manager’ of a team
• solid technical understanding of DC (defined contributions) pensions
• an empathy with the purpose and objectives of the pensions reforms and the role that NEST can play in helping to achieve them
• previous project management experience advantageous.
