Head of Finance – International recruitment
Our client is dominant player in the FMCG industry in Kuwait. Specialising in the production, processing and trading of fresh produce, they have a requirement to recruit a Head of Finance to take ownership of financial reporting and control. Working closely with the Managing Director, key responsibilities will include:
Reporting:
Directing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual report preparation
Monthly preparation and presentation of financial and operating reports to stakeholders
Control:
Drive finance as a commercial entity that enhances decision making and adds value to the organisation through cost control/reduction, increased revenues and better working capital management
Annual budget process and variance analysis
On-going cashflow management and forecasting
Financial Analysis:
Directing all financial planning activities
Preparation and review of business plans and financial projections
On-going analysis of KPIs
Business Partnering:
Build relationships with people in a variety of roles and levels across the organisation
Using cross-functional influencing skills, promote the Finance and Company Vision
Governance:
Participating in the implementation and communication legal governance and compliance policies whist providing solid risk profile advice and management
Systems and Ad-hoc:
Drive the implementation and enhancement of reporting system to improve business information and financial reporting
On-going projects and ad-hoc activities that may fall within the remit of the finance
Key requirements:
Professional Accountancy Qualification
Hands on role requiring significant commercial input
Willingness to move abroad
A background in FMCG or the retail industry would be desirable and an advantage but not a prerequisite
A good knowledge of IS systems is required in order to provide input and vision in driving commercial operations
The candidate will possess strong commercial acumen and have proven past experience of adding to the growth, value and success of a business
Excellent Analytical Skills with strong planning and organising skills
