Head of Finance
My client, a highly successful and growing pan-European pharmaceutical company, is currently looking to recruit a high calibre senior finance professional with proven experience within a manufacturing environment.
Reporting to senior management the main duties and responsibilities are:
· Provide Finance support to the VP, Manufacturing and Supply (MS)
· Act as the Finance representative on the MS Executive Committee
· Responsible for building, developing and implementing common principles and policies for MS that inform, communicate and control costs in order to meet the challenge of delivering the lowest Cost of Goods (CoGS) in compliance with industry best practices.
· To provide full and effective financial management to MS and lead and co-ordinate the provision of information to enable decision making and robust performance review.
· To ensure that all external MS reporting and compliance requirements are met.
· Responsible for developing the MS strategic plan and supporting its delivery.
· Responsible for ensuring overall alignment within and across MS and Finance.
· Develop a standard format for MS reporting that enables the tracking of performance against budget and KPls.
· Implement common policies across MS aligned with group policies.
· Develop a single format for Management Accounting; Provide a reconciliation of the MS management accounting to Group accounting.
· Deliver robust MS Budgets and Forecasts; include inventory, waste, capital expenditure, standard costing and KPI’s .
· Prepare monthly actual reports in accordance to Dutch GAAP; include inventories, waste and capital expenditure.
· Manage, approve and monitor MS capital expenditure; Contribute to the preparation and review of business cases, including cash flow projections and pay back calculations.
· Manage a team of four site controllers and analysts across four countries and sites.
· Develop the Site Financial Controller roles and relationships.
· Identify key talent and succession planning of staff within and for MS roles working with line managers within MS and Finance.
Key skills, experience and qualifications:
. Qualified accountant with multi-site experience and proven working knowledge of manufacturing and supply accounting processes.
. Be a natural communicator and leader.
. Have strong IT literacy.
. A knowledge of French would be beneficial but not essential.
