Head of Finance and CASS
City-based client seek experienced Head of Finance who has had experience with client money (CASS), preferably having held CF10a status.
The Client:
A fast growing electronic brokerage house, offering a trading platform for a varied spread of products. The firm are looking to grow their UK and EMEA branch and see this as an important hire for their senior management team.
The Role:
You will have sole responsibility for all forms of financial control, budgeting planning and regulatory returns. Reporting to the Group CFO in the America’s, you will play a leading part in the management of the region’s finances. Core responsibilities include;
· Responsibility for all procedures and control oversight of the region’s statutory accounts.
· Responsibility for design and implementation for client assets and money, in respect of FCA regulations.
· Providing advice on upstream accounting policy changes, whilst also advising on the potential impact of new products and markets.
· Development of functional business requirements and operational
· Conduct robust financial modelling and stress testing scenarios (eg ICAAP/ILAA)
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA) with a minimum of 6 years experience. You will have ideally been a Financial Controller in either a prime brokerage or online brokerage platform.
· If not, you will have had experience in securities or capital markets
· Either way, the successful candidate must have had experience in a CASS/client money capacity
