My client, a well-known International Business is seeking an experienced CFO or Head of Finance and Control.
This person could come from other locations around the world, the prerequisite requirement is to understand international business and international accounting and finance standards.
My client is open to covering the cost of relocation for the right person, and highly values an international mind-set/ mentality.
We are seeking a highly motivated person who has the energy and experience to establish a new department as a part of a major new area.
This person will be the Financial heartbeat of the company, ensuring delivery on a range of business critical Finance issues – including budgeting, forecasting, setting new policies and in general all strategic financial planning for the business.
This role provides leadership and requires someone with fresh ideas to build a new department to control and manage the company’s finances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the consolidation of all management and financial reports and statutory reporting.
- Leading all finance aspects of the business including budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting reporting and strategic planning processes
- Preparation of annual reports and the development of a financial forecasting models (experience with management tools such as Activity Based Costing)
- Controlling accounting services and reporting; designing and improving accounting policies
- Evaluating processes, procedures, control systems , IT systems, methodologies and working tools.
- Control accounting services performed by service providers and ensure SLAs are being met.
- Building and managing a Team to a high standard
- Dealing with international accounting and finance standards including IFRS and many country GAAPS.
Key requirements:
- Professional knowledge:
- Good academic degree at a good university
- A qualification with a specialised institutions is considered an asset
- Excellent knowledge of modelling and data processing techniques
- English is mandatory and either French or German, any other European language is an asset
- Strong knowledge of finance and economics
- Experience with models and tools for strategic financial management, software applications/databases and so on.

Experience:
- 8-10 years relevant post qualification experience
- Expertise of functioning of finances in an international environment
- Proven leadership and management skills (at least 2 years)
- Good appreciation of group strategy, purpose, direction and values
