Job description
Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Finance and Control will be responsible for:
Building a finance and control team
Managing consolidation of all the management and financial reports and statutory reporting
Designing and improving accounting policies, processes, procedures, control systems, IT systems, methodologies and working tools
Leading all finance aspects of the budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning process, including the preparation of annual reports and the development of a financial forecasting model
Controlling the financial flow of the EFSF and related entities
Controlling accounting services performed by third parties and ensuring clear distribution of roles and responsibilities and communication channels Overseeing accounting and reporting
Supervising and supporting team in performing its tasks in a structured and reliable manner
Monitoring service level agreements
Who we are looking for
You have strong experience and a relevant degree from a leading university.
You have at least 8 years professional experience in a planning, budgeting, cost accounting reporting or control function preferably gained with an international organisation, accounting firm or in a (investment) bank
You have excellent knowledge of modelling and data processing techniques
Good knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS) and of management tools such as Activity Based Costing, etc
Experience with state-of-the-art frameworks, models and tools for financial and strategic management would be a distinct advantage
Good knowledge of software applications/databases and reporting tools used in the specific area
Strong knowledge in the domains of lending, finance and economics
Fluent in English and either French or German
