Head of Finance, European Broker Dealer
UK Subsidiary of a listed firm, this brokerage have had a successful growth story over the last 5 years. My client has developed a strong presence in the UK and European small-mid cap securities market focussing on the growth sectors.
An energetic and entrepreneurial environment, focusing on institutional investors, providing investment banking, trading and corporate research services.
Broad ranging role covering the most basic/granular detail within the finance to acting as part of the executive committee and reporting to the managing partner.
· Support the Executive Committee in strategic planning
· Support the Executive Committee in the financial analysis of the company, including detailed fixed and variable cost analysis, identifying opportunities to optimise performance and increase profits. Drive the budgeting process, working with the other members of the executive team
· Organising agendas and presentations for the Board, Executive Committee and Audit, Compensation and Risk Committees
· Develop financial and fiscal policies, procedures and controls which are fit for purpose as the business grows
· Lead and manage the finance team and operations teams, currently comprising four people, including related recruitment and staff evaluation
· Direct and oversee the team in preparation of all financial reporting, including monthly and quarterly management accounts, production of annual financial statements (IFRS) and tax returns for all UK based entities
· Review and develop a robust intercompany transfer-pricing policy
· Manage the senior relationships with external auditors and tax advisers
· Manage senior bank relationships
We are looking for a qualified accountant who who ideally has inter dealer broker experience and broad finance and operational experience. Most importantly we are looking for a positive attitude, and someone who is entrepreneurial and energetic.
