Head of Financial Accounting
Challenging 12 month contract with a well established medium-sized business for a qualified ACA or ACCA - with either a public practice or commercial financial accounting background.
Within this broad role you will be involved with the management of the year end and statutory accounts production and will work closely with both the external auditors and the internal audit function as well as the Senior Management Team. You will be involved in assessing the financial and process impact of any regulatory and accounting changes - in particular any new IFRS or SORP changes. In a wider sense you will also be involved in reviewing and developing accounting systems, controls and procedures.
If you have a wide ranging experience in financial and accounting systems and reporting tools, a practical understanding of current statutory reporting requirements and the ability to analyse accounting and legislative changes this could be a great assignment for you. You will also use your strong interpersonal skills, ability to prioritise and verbal and written reporting skills.
