Head of Financial Control

International trade finance bank seeks a Head of Financial Control to lead the Finance function of their London branch, as well as overseeing their operations in other EMEA hubs.

The Client:

Overseas bank offering a large suite of corporate banking products/services. The bank is looking to expand its operations in London by up to 30% in the next 3 years. They are looking for someone with similar experience in leading the Finance function at a smaller international bank.

The Role:

You will have sole responsibility for all forms of financial control, regulatory reporting and budgeting/planning. Reporting into the branch’s CFO, you will ensure all regulatory and reporting deadlines are met both locally and to Head Office overseas.

· Ownership of the Finance function, including a team of 3 support staff (mixture of qualified, part-qualified and qualified by experience)
· Preparation of internal monthly management packs, which will you analyse with the General Manager
· Completion of all Head Office, Bank of England and PRA reporting requirements.
· Oversee bank reconciliations and daily liquidity and capital ratios
· Provide cost-based analysis for the bank’s expenditure; including the review of expenses and invoice.
· Creating a robust control environment

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) with a minimum of 7-8 years experience

· You will have ideally been a Head of Financial Control within an international bank, or currently be a Deputy looking to step up.
· Have strong leadership/management ability
