Head of Financial Planning and Capital
Working in this pivotal role within the Finance Department, you will be working closely with all areas of the business, in particular the property development team to:-
· Lead and develop financial planning and analysis for the Group
· Prepare detailed long-term business plans for the Group
· Overall responsibility for capital accounting of development expenditure
· Act as the financial lead for business growth opportunities, including any mergers and acquisitions
· Work with senior management to implement the Group’s corporate financial strategy
As part of the Treasury Capital Team the post holder will play a leading role in ensuring the financial integrity of the Group, maintaining a robust framework to capture and manage development risks from a financial perspective, model and help manage general business risks, as well as project / scheme specific risks. As a qualified accountant, the post holder will be able to balance commercial outlook with social objectives.
The post holder will be primarily responsible for leading on financial business planning, in particular 30 year business plans and related outputs, as well as overseeing the capital accounting for the Group’s property assets.
These responsibilities will include providing in-depth analysis, commentary and regular updates to the business plan. The post holder will also be closely involved in implementing the corporate financial strategy and ensuring that business plans are consistently aligned with the financial strategy. Working closely with the Treasury Analyst, Project Analyst and Assistant Director – Treasury Capital, the post holder shall ensure that resources are readily identifiable so that these can be efficiently managed and invested and that business decisions are thoroughly considered and based on appropriate long-term economic and business assumptions. The post holder will also oversee the capital accounting of the Group’s property development activities and be responsible for the Capital Accountant and Assistant Capital Accountant, who manage the data processing of the capital activities.
