Head of Fixed Income Valuations (IPV & Deal Review) – SVP

Reporting in to the global head of valuations you are to run a function that has doubled in size over the past 18 months. The hire is required to improve the function (capabilities and processes), grow it out and provide a stronger link between the team and the front office. The remit of the team covers all IPV, price testing and deal review responsibilities across all fixed income trading desks, including both flow and exotics. The constant face off to APAC and international front office MD’s means that the client requires a market and product specialist with a preference to hire an individual with international experience.

We are hiring at the SVP level as the expectation is that a current VP can step up and work towards a director level title in a year in line with organisational growth. Whilst a global title is possible as progression, the candidate can also look at potential business manager / COO positions moving forwards and the client is keen to stress their internal mobility and variety as being a key selling point for an IB of its size. You must be form a valuations background, be strong technically and have a good level of fixed income (or commodities) product knowledge.

The client is offering a base salary that is more in line with junior director level salaries at some other IB’s. Bonuses based on this year’s levels should also be seen as being attractive to individuals from top tier IB’s.
