Head of Funds recruitment

Role 

My client is looking for an exceptional individual to help them set up their alternative funds division in Guernsey and take on the role of Head of Funds for the island. This role combines the opportunity to build, manage and grow a team on the island whilst ensuring excellent service is provided to clients.
Key accountabilities include:
- Coordinate the on-boarding of new business and develop new initiative to expand in this new market.
- Act as a director on the boards of client entities.
- Be the primary point of contact with the regulator on the island.
- Responsibility for local corporate governance, including the drafting and implementation of policies and procedures for the location.
- Designing and implementing a robust funds programme which satisfies regulatory compliance including the monitoring of external service providers.
- Act as key interface between client parties, external counsel and auditors, compliance and the regulatory bodies.
- Attend Channel Islands Management Committee meetings as appropriate.

The successful Head of Funds will:
- Hold a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Have a proven track record in the Funds industry.
- Have strong business and team management skills.
- Have a high degree of commercial awareness.
- Be genuinely committed to working on the island.
