The organisation is currently seeking a suitable candidate to head their Global Markets Operations team in Singapore.
Job Description
Primary responsibility is to manage and supervise the day to day processing and settlement of related financial products as well as the preparation and submission of management and regulatory reports.
- Supervise the Department's daily operations and ensure that all transactions are settled correctly and completely on value date
- Identify and undertake initiatives to improve operational efficiency and enhance customer service standards
- Review the reconciliation of all nostro accounts which are used by the Department to ensure that postings are made in order and follow up investigation for outstanding items that may be required
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, control and compliance requirements stipulated by Company policies
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements including the timely submission of regulatory reports
- Ensure that areas of non-compliance highlighted by the internal and external auditors as well as compliance officers are followed up promptly and all staff are briefed accordingly to prevent recurrence
- Ensure that all relevant control measures are properly enforced to meet internal and external audit standards
- Participate in the readiness and launch of new funds relating to Currency Administration
- Stay abreast of market and regulatory developments affecting Foreign Exchange and Currency Administration
- Reinforce standards of quality and productivity for the service levels required by internal and external clients (benchmarking, KRI's, Service Level Report Cards)
The Successful Applicant
- Degree or professional qualification in a related discipline,
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in the settlement of Global Markets products, IRD, Currency Administration and Capital Markets
- Sound knowledge and experience in the treasury settlement operations in Singapore and Asian countries would be an advantage.
- Must have good analytical and problem solving skills
- Able to work independently and with integrity
- Experience in leading a team with strong leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills
